I've been building specdeviceinfo, a reference database of 80,000+ real Android devices, indexed by their own self-reported OS-level fingerprints rather than the retailer's spec sheet.WhyGoogle an Android model number and every result is the same thing: a copy of what the manufacturer printed on the box. That's fine if you want to know the advertised RAM, but useless if you want to know what a real device with that model number actually reports at runtime.
